Chanda Sequoya Smith was born on January 6, 1980 in Orangeburg County, South Carolina the daughter of the Billy and Betty McFarland. On December 2, 2018, God called Chanda’s name so gently that only she could hear. Surrounded by her loved ones she quietly departed for her Heavenly home.
Chanda was a 1998 graduate of Hunter- Kinard-Tyler High School. She also earned a Medical Assistant Certification from Montgomery Job Corp.
She was a loving person who greeted you with a gallant smile. She also loved to sing. Chanda took most pride in being a Mother. Her life was most inspired by the love and happiness she and her darling Daughters possessed. Although she will be sadly missed, she left many fond and happy memories for all who knew and loved her to treasure.
Survivors include her husband; Randy Smith of Bamberg, South Carolina; two loving daughters; Shaquoyia Smith and Randashia Smith both of Orangeburg, South Carolina; Her devoted parents, Betty and Billy McFarland of Orangeburg, South Carolina; one sister, Shelika (Keith) Izlar of St. Matthews, South Carolina; one brother, Christopher (Mesha) Robinson of Blythwood, South Carolina; Mother-In-law, Joyce Smith of Columbia, South Carolina; seven aunts, four uncles, eight nieces, and four nephews along with a host of caring cousins, other family members and friends.
