We bow in humble submission to thank you Lord for sending Bro. Venson Walker, Jr. into our lives. Venson was born to the late Bernice and Venson Walker, Sr. on January 8, 1952.
We also thank you Lord for giving Venson the opportunity to accept you as his Lord and Savior in his last days. We thank you Lord for giving Venson the strength to call on your name and meet his Christian obligations until you called his name on Friday, December 21, 2018 at his residence.
We thank God for allowing him to receive an education at Norfield High School in Norway, SC. We thank you for all of the accomplishments that Venson made in life. Venson enjoyed talking, cooking, hunting, and most of all farming.
We praise you for allowing him to be the proud Father of four children; Venson, Taran, Shameaca, and Dion. Venson was preceded in death by his parents and one Sister, Burnette Walker.
Venson leaves to celebrate his homegoing; Spouse, Gloria Scott of Salley, South Carolina; one daughter, Shameaca Shonta Walker of Lexington, South Carolina; Three sons, Retired Army Captain, Venson Jermaine Walker, Louisiana, Retired Marine Staff Sergeant Taran Vashon (Milu) Walker of Lexington, South Carolina and Dion DeMiracle Walker of Salley, South Carolina; Three brothers, Retired Petty Officer Jefferson (Cathy) Walker of Jacksonville, Florida, Retired Colonel Clyde (Valeria) Walker of New Orleans, Louisiana and Jacob (Shirley) Walker of Williston, South Carolina; Three sisters, Dorothy Williams of Columbia, South Carolina, Lavern Casteal and Teresa Jamison both of Neeses, South Carolina; Sister-in-law, Blanche Walker of Salley, South Carolina; Two uncles, Lindberg (Nettie Ruth) Odom of Salley, South Carolina, and Joseph (Jessie Mae) Odom of Neeses, South Carolina; seven grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and friends.
Venson made a lasting impression on not just family members but all who were blessed to meet him. Venson will be truly missed by all. Sleep on Venson who was also known as Chef on a Shoe String.
