Mr. Booker T. Washington, Jr. was born on November 24, 1960 the son of Booker T. Washington and the late Vertell Jones Washington. He entered into eternal rest on November 17, 2018 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
Booker T. Washington, Jr. attended the public schools of Orangeburg County, South Carolina and was a graduate of Hunter Kinard High School. He was preceded in death by his Mother, the late Vertell Jones Washington and his brother, Wilbur Washington.
Booker T. Washington, Jr., known compassionately to family and friends as “June Bugg” is survived by his wife, Lisa Nelon Washington of Texas; Children, Shawtea Washington, Kattie Washington, and Susan Washington; Seven Step Children; Father and Step Mother, Booker T. (Jimmie Lou) Washington, Sr. of Norway, South Carolina; Six sisters, Emma Dean (Ronald) Jefferson, Gloria Dean Washington, Loretta Washington-Jefferson, Ruth Ann (Gregory) Cottman, and Janice Anthony, and Jennie (Kim) Smith; Seven brothers, Anthony (Margie) Washington, Wayne (Betty) Washington, Donald Anthony, Kim Washington, Damien Washington, Tyrone (Roz) Gleaton, and James Gleaton; Ten grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
