Elder Sarah Pressey was born December 18, 1950 in Bamberg County, South Carolina to the late Samuel and Earnestine Jennings. She transitioned to her heavenly home on November 20, 2023.
Sarah was a 1969 graduate of Voorhees High School. She also attended Denmark Technical College and received an Associate Degree in Secretarial Science. She worked many years for Seibers and Bruce Insurance company as an underwriter before retiring.
Elder Sarah Pressey was a member of Apostle By Faith Holiness Church in Columbia, South Carolina. She served as an Elder and also as the secretary of the church.
Sarah was preceded in death by one daughter, Ebonie Necole Pressey; one sister, Bertha Diane Jennings; three brothers, Samuel Jennings, Jr. Sam Jennings, and Richard Jennings.
She leaves to cherish her memories two sisters, Mary E. Reed of Greensboro, North Carolina and Audrena Jennings of Columbia, South Carolina; one brother, Harold Jennings of Atlanta, Georgia; niece, Shamica Jennings of Columbia, South Carolina; two sisters in law, Shirley Laboard Jennings of Columbia, South Carolina and Angela Coleman Jennings of Denmark, South Carolina; three God daughters, Tracey (Morris) Randolph Foster, Monique (Fernandez) Thompson and Nakeisha (Frank) Dixon Watson all of Columbia, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Alex Young Taylor and Amari Young both of Columbia, South Carolina; one great granddaughter, Alani Young of Columbia, South Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
