Mrs. Jymmye Ann Tyler James, (affectionately known to many as Jymmye Lou), daughter of the late Mr. John Henry Tyler and the late Ms. Sarah Evans, was born July 23, 1953, in Orangeburg County, SC. She fought a good fight and finished her course on Sunday, May 1, 2022.
At an early age she joined Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Norway, SC. She attended Norfield High School, Norway, SC. Se was employed by Talley Corbett Box Company, Springfield, SC, for approximately 30 years. Jymmye was a quiet spirited loving lady. She would cook and feed all who came by. The children especially loved Aunt Jymmye Lou’s macaroni. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
On December 17, 1976, she was joined in holy wedlock to Mr. Otis James. They were married for 45 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Nelia Tyler, and Phyllis Randolph, two brothers, Leroy Tyler and Arthur Tyler.
Those let to cherish precious and loving memories are her loving and devoted husband, Otis James of the home, one adorable son, Layshone (Melissa) Tyler Barnwell. SC, six loving sisters, Emma James, Jamaica, NY, Minnie Tyler, Brooklyn, NY, Dorothy Perry, Gloria (Ike) Tyler, Lena Mae Dunbar all of Norway, SC and Diane Tyler, Orangeburg, SC; two loving brothers, Felix (Sarah) Tyler, Orangeburg, SC and Marion (Shirley) Tyler, Denmark, SC, four grandsons, Derrice Jones, who was reared in the home, of Pooler, GA, Rashawn Tyler, Wagener, SC, Quashone Tyler, Irmo, SC and Ahmad Russell, Barnwell, SC; two granddaughters, Nykema Tyler and Cierra Tyler both of Barnwell, SC, a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
