Mr. Daniel Lee Argoe, 75, son of the late Mr. Dan Gardner and Ms. Catherine Argoe was born on August 7, 1949 in Springfield, South Carolina. He transitioned from this life to his eternal home on Friday, January 17, 2025 at his residence.
At an early age he joined the Gospel Temple Baptist Church. Later in life he affiliated himself with the Church of Christ in Williston, South Carolina. Daniel was employed by Dixie Narco in Williston, Sorth Carolina. He was also employed by the South Carolina Department of Transportation for approximately nineteen years until his retirement in 2011.
He was joined in holy matrimony with Ms. Vivian Summers on July 22, 1988. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and brothers; Daniel Argoe, Vincent Gordon and Clyde Argoe.
He leaves to cherish loving and fond memories his wife of thirty six (36) years, Vivian Argoe of the home; one son, Maurice Johnson of Alexandria, Virginia; three grandchildren; nieces, Yolanda Staley(Anthony), and Kathy Porter both of Springfield, South Carolina, Fannie Nimmons of Washington, D.C., Diane Summers, Natasha Glover(Tony), and Nicole Mattox(Chan); nephews, Ricky Argoe(Earnestine) of Neeses, South Carolina, and Neal Summers(Cynthia) all of Statesville, North Carolina and David Summers(Sherrill); two great nieces, Evelyn Nimmons and Schuprell Nimmons both of Washington, D.C.; sisters-in-law, Christine Johnson(Gerald), Hazel Mae Summers, Alicia Burke and Mildred Summers all of Statesville, North Carolina; good friend, Johnny Ross of Williston, South Carolina, and a host of other relatives and friends.
