Mr. Harry Lee "Pudn" Clemons

Mr. Harry Lee Clemons, son of the Late James Pender (Rosa Lee Tyler) Clemons, was born January 20, 1961 in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. He entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at MUSC, Orangeburg, SC, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Clemons attended the public schools of Orangeburg County.  He was a member of Good Hope AME Church. Mr. Harry Clemons was joined in holy matrimony to the late Carolyn Peeples. To this union, they were blessed with a son. Harry was preceded in death by his siblings—Willie James Clemons, Henry James Clemons, Rosa Mae Clemons, Wilton Clemons, Larry Clemons, and Wendy (Alvin) Hay.

Harry worked at Carolina Fresh Farms, Neeses, SC for many years and was employed at Husquarvana, Orangeburg, SC, until his health declined.

“Pudn”, as he was affectionately known, had a fun-loving spirit. He was the life of all family events—whether it was his dance moves or Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. impersonations. Even when his health began to decline, he still had a smile on his face and joy in his heart. He had an exceptional unique “green thumb”…you definitely wanted him to care for your plants.

He truly loved his family-siblings, son, bonus children, grandchildren, and certainly his inseparable, longtime soulmate and caregiver, Patty Perry of Orangeburg, SC.

Harry leaves to cherish his fond memories: his loving and supportive son, Cecil LaRon   Peeples; four bonus children and their spouses who loved him unconditionally: Dominque Perry, Brittany (Paul)Butler, Rodriquez Briana) Perry, and Quatika Harris. Three Devoted sisters, Docie Clemons, Bessie (Gary) Peeples, and Jeanette Clemons all of Norway, SC, and his last brother and sidekick Joshua   (Joyce) Clemons, Orangeburg, SC.  Three grandchildren: Iyana Peeples, Nykavien Peeples, and NyKavia Peeples. Seven bonus grandchildren who  brightened his days: Ca’mari Perry, Isaiah Perry, Sha’miya Perry, Paul  Butler, Jr., Malaysia Butler, Cameron Brown, and Khalil McCall. His aunt, Mrs. Albertha Polite, Cope, SC, and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
