Mr. Roosevelt “Whip” Brown, 72, of 1612 Jones Bridge Road, Blackville, South Carolina formerly of 567 Good Hope Road, Norway, SC passed away quietly on Monday night, December 7, 2020.
Roosevelt Brown was the son of the late Hebert and Rebecca Brown on February 2, 1938 in Cope, South Carolina.
Mr. Brown was married to Mrs. Mary Louise Brown for 45 years. He was a member of the Good Hope AME Church, Cope, South Carolina and he was an avid farmer. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mary Louise Brown of the home; three children, Michael Brown, Elesa Brown and Roosevelt Brown, Jr.; five grandchildren; sisters, Rosa M. Hopkins of Orangeburg, South Carolina, and Clay (Treadwell) Jamison of Norway, South Carolina; brothers, Morris (Margaret) Brown , Issac (Jeanette) Brown, and Bobby (Jill) Brown all of Cope, South Carolina; three sisters-in-law, Sarah Brown of Orangeburg, South Carolina, Pearl White of Maryland, and Lois Rowe of Denmark, South Carolina; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held 2:00 until 7:00pm on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Jackson’s Memorial Chapel, Neeses, South Carolina. There will not be a public funeral service.
