Mrs. Kajuana Lashon Neal Brooks

With heartfelt sorrow, we mourn her passing, yet we honor a life beautifully lived and a legacy of love that will forever remain in the hearts of those she held dear.

Mrs. Kajuana Lashon Neal Brooks, 51, of 1020 Rice Street, Orangeburg, South Carolina, departed this earthly life peacefully at her residence. A devoted wife and dedicated mother, Mrs. Brooks will be remembered for her love, strength, and unwavering commitment to her family. Her gentle spirit and nurturing heart touched all who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed by family, friends, and the community.

Kajuana was born on March 26, 1975, in Columbus, Georgia, to the late Mary Ann Williams-Neal and Jimmie Lee Neal, Sr. On Friday, April 24, 2026, she peacefully transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

Kajuana received her education through the completion of her GED and went on to dedicate herself to the work force. She was employed as a retail sales associate and also served diligently in various security roles throughout her career. Her strong work ethic and quiet resilience were evident to all who knew her.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories in the hearts of those who knew her best. She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Brooks; two loving sons, James Edward Seay III (Elysia) and Tyree Malik Howard; one daughter, Tierra Diamonique Howard; one stepson, Raphael Goodwin; and three stepdaughters, Keonda Goodwin, Ashley Graves, and Henterio Johnson; her three brothers, Christopher Lee Neal (Ellen), Jimmie Lee Neal (Valerie), and Odysseus Neal; mother-in-law, Sibble Brooks; her three granddaughters, Kennedi Sanders, Janiya Seay, and Sayge Howard; seventeen step-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Kajuana’s life was a testament to perseverance, love, and faith. Though she is no longer with us in the physical sense, her spirit will forever dwell in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her.
