Ms. Mulinda Burkett daughter of Shelton and Mary Dean Summers Burkett was born on October 4, 1969 in Bamberg County, South Carolina.
Mulinda being the oldest daughter, she was the family queen. She was a very loving, caring, and giving person. In addition she was very outgoing. She was often said to be the life of the party. She loved listening to music, dancing, and overall just having a great time. She was loved by everyone, and her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Dean Burkett and Shelton Burkett, and her brothers, Kevin Shelton Burkett and Shawn Burkett.
She leaves to cherish her fond and loving memories her children, Savanya Burkett, Kristal Burkett, Octavia Washington, Jr., and Bernard Washington, Jr. all of Orangeburg, South Carolina; sisters, Jennifer (Patrick) Tyler of Norway, South Carolina, Shawnette(Kelvin) Weems of Atlanta, Georgia; brothers, Lavar Burkett (Bishop Dennis A. Meredith) of Atlanta, Georgia and Wesley Burkett, Terrance Burkett, and Edwin Burkett all of Norway, South Carolina; seven loving grandchildren, seven special nieces, and four special nephews; five aunts, Tracey (Michael) James, Tanya Burkett, and Wanda (Wilbert) Milhouse all of Norway, South Carolina and Sarah Hill of Orangeburg, South Carolina and Donnaella (Charlie) Hart of Columbia, South Carolina; five uncles, Winslow (Mary Ann) Burkett, Billy Ray Burkett, Paul Burkett, and Glennon Burkett all of Norway, South Carolina and Michael Burkett of Lugoff, South Carolina; and a host of loving cousins, and a special caregiver and fiancé, Randy Hart.
