Mrs. Susie L. Gleaton daughter of the late Robert Lee and Susie Anna Gleaton was born on September 25, 1946 in Neeses, South Carolina. She entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the Regional Medical Center in Aiken, South Carolina.
She attended the public schools in Norfield and at early age she joined the Gospel Temple Baptist Church. For many years she resided in Morristown, NJ until her retirement. She later returned to SC where she continued her membership at Gospel Temple until her health failed.
Known to many as “Big Mama”, Sue loved fishing until her health failed. She was a dedicated mother, sister, and auntie. She brightened any room and everyone that knew her loved being around her. She was also a very giving person.
Survivors include three children, Kenneth Gleaton, Chris Gleaton of Virginia and Richard Lynch of New Jersey; three sisters, Dorothy Davenport of Wagener, South Carolina, Pearlie M. Gleaton of the home and Irene Jamison of Salley, South Carolina; one brother, Isaac Gleaton of the home; one sister in law, Sylvania Gleaton of Springfield, South Carolina; five grands, Deidra, Kayla, Imani, Marcus and Gabbiera and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends and a special little one, Ashton Robinson better known to her as Big Red.
