Wilbert Jermaine Gleaton

Wilbert Jermaine “Jody” Gleaton was born on December 12, 1973 the son of Ms. Ruth Ann (the late Mr. Dibble) Washington, and Mr. Wilbert (Carolyn) Gleaton. Mr. Gleaton received his heavenly wings on Sunday, June 10, 2018.

Wilbert attended Hunter Kinard Tyler High School in addition to Wagener Salley High School. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Cynthia, Wallace and Wilton. Wilbert enjoyed grilling for family and friends, but most of all he enjoyed being an auto mechanic. He was most recently employed at Columbia Castone, and Carlisle.

He is survived by his children, Jarvis, Dwayne, Jawaine and Jermya who he also cared for as his daughter; Siblings; Anthony (Teashenia) Evans, Wanda Gleaton, Jarome Evans, Terrill Scott, JaWanda (Johnny) Williams, Travis (LaTeesha) Washington, Maggie Lawton, JaMonique Gleaton, Christopher Lawton, Sylvia (Melinda)Washington, Steven Stroman, Andrew (Marilyn) Washingon, Tammy (George) Washington, Jerome (Lanham) Sampson; Special Friend, Vanessa Baxter; five aunts; one Uncle; and a host of other relatives and friends.
